Now, it has been common opinion (as far as I remember) that warriors are stronger than mages, and though that may hold true in the case of pvp when considering the skill chain chop and flying chop, and the fact that you can link them in sequence. The fact is though, that as a mage, one of your best assets is your ability to get experience faster.

I made my first character a mage, as I usually do in games, and I noticed that once I got myself a warrior demon (the atkdef one, though pdef works just as well) I was able to combine with him to give me the invincibility to mobs my level provided by a decent defense demon, as well as the ability to attack many creatures at once with the spell windbeads, for little mana cost. In fact, I never had to use a mana potion while leveling. I remember sitting at a huge ogre spawn while being protected by my atkdef and not having to worry about being damaged, while I take out maybe 10+ monsters in less than a minute. As a warrior at the same level, I might have been able to kill 8 or lucky to get 10 in the same time, but with a REALLY large spawn my mage was able to get experience SO much faster, killing 20 or so mobs in the same time as 10 mobs.

So this is my conclusion. Though you may consider a mage weak, and think that the relative damage it deals with one casting is less than a warrior can deal, the truth is, that if used appropriately, the mage WILL have a higher ability to level up faster than a warrior could imagine. (unless of course you were able to get a super+9 pretty soon like my warrior did, then your damage potential can be considered about the same rate as the mage, but give the mage a super+9 weapon too, and they do better as well. But I digress.

If you are a mage, make sure that you round up a large group of mobs, as large as you can get, and then cast magic beads. I tell ya, it can hit more monsters than I`ve seen tornado hit, in most scenarios, but tornado is good if you put yourself smack dab in the middle of a spawn. Windbeads also extends past the range of vision you get with the game screen, so don`t think what you see is all you get. Warriors, I suggest you give mage a shot, and try one out. I think you��ll find that the results are surprising once you know how to hunt.

As far as bosses go... everyone uses XP skill to fight bosses that are higher level than them, so I don`t see the difference. XP is the undisputed mob slaughterer, and it`s refreshing to use instead of the regular slash killing. In fact, without XP I think mages would be the undisputed level fast character, but with the damage you get out of well-powered weapons, they can compete with mages in the leveling.
