Some of the stories are really lame here are some tips that might actually
compel people to read them:
1. have a point to the story a lot of stories are just "one time i was pkin
then all of a sudden this boss came and i beat it up a lot ~the end~" make sure
that your story has an actual story
2.dont write about things that actually happened they might be exiting to u
but they bore most people, make a story that people want to keep reading with
something they can relate to or a common fantasy that u know people will
recognize
3.cursing is not needed most people use it because there story lacks
excitement instead relate to what ur character is feeling or thinking using more
detail then you think u even needed also use abbreviations as little as possible
some people still dont know what they mean
4.some stories are long and some are short if you follow all the steps that
are in this tip you should probably get to having to write a part 2 but if ur
story is to short dont make it longer by adding unneeded info
5.use detail dont only follow the main character describe the setting or
maybe what people outside the story are thinking example: from the gates of
cronus you can see miles and when the army of madbulls was seen coming the city
had enough time to prepare its defenses, however all who were outside at the
time the approaching army was spotted were locked out and left on there own and
________(characters name here) happened to be one of those unlucky few. this
story doesnt even introduce the character till the end of the introduction but
what it does is give the setting and then places the character USE DETAIL (but
not to much)
6.when characters are talking dont do this:
"what?"
" i said the gates are closing the guards most have spotted some kind of
danger"
do this:
"what?" midknight said, not sure if his friend was joking or not
"i said the gates are closing there must be danger coming" said ~ArAgOrN~.
and he began to run for the gates with midknightcobra not far behind.
i hope u can tell the difference between the 2.
7. proof read or else some words come out a little funny this also makes the
story more flowing some mistakes are o.k. but just make sure that at LEAST its
legible
8.the middle should not drone on avoid using: "and then" "like"(this can be
used when comparing things example: the crash that sounded when the gates closed
merely inches away from midknights face was almost LIKE 100 mages casting
thunder at the exact same time and the ring afterward lasted at least 2
minuets.)
9.the end should be one of 2 things, maybe you are making a point or mabye
just writing for fun. either way it should complete the story example: she had
faced off against mad bulls an evil boss and weather that could have brought
down even the mightiest heros and finally as soon as there was enough room for
her as well as the other survives to enter she ran into the city only to pass
out from exhaustion after 3 steps on the magnificent tiled ground... yah i know
its not perfect but would you rather listen to that or to this: when she ran
into the city she has so happy she fainted ~the~end~...
try to complete the story but still end in a way that makes the reader feel
like what you told them really happened it could be ironic or a sad truth
anything is possible but especially the end needs detail, MAKE THE READER
REMEMBER THE STORY
10. the last hint is that you should have fun write about something that u
have been thinking of, that would be cool, anything! in most cases if you enjoy
what you are writing the reader enjoy reading and if u follow these steps than
you should be a much better story teller than most people
