At the beginning of the year, the potency system has experienced a great change. Most players` potency will be increased a lot!

Potency was once counted by the lowest quality of your equipment. But now it is counted separately.

For example: 

Common equipment will not add any extra points of potency.

Refined equipment will add 1 extra point of potency.

Unique equipment will add 2.

Elite equipment will add 3.

Super equipment will add 4.

What is to say, if you have ONE piece of super equipment, you can get 4 extra points of potency. The more super equipment you have, the more points of potency you will get.

Say you have one super and five elite pieces of equipment, you could only get 3 extra points of potency in the past (which is counted by the lowest quality of your equipment), but now you can get +4 extra points of potency (super equipment) and 5*3 extra points of potency (elite equipment), altogether 19 extra points of potency.

And once when you equipped the gears that suit your level most, you would get double extra points of potency. But if one of the gears did not suit your level, you would not get the extra. (It was the original settings.)

But now, every piece of equipment`s potency is counted separately again. If it suits your level, you will get one extra point of potency; if it does not, you will not get the extra. You can get 6 extra points of potency at most altogether.
