After the discovery of my true identity I was terribly confused... thinking with the dark side of me but seeing the world with new eyes... A war of great force will be waged in this age and I shall discover whether I am truly evil as I was or perhaps being reborn made me see in a new light with the eyes of a paladin. This is the age of chaos.
I can now fly with my wings, learning to control my weapon to let the force flow threw it like my wand in my past life but using it as a melee weapon as a warrior. I have mastered the elements and the dark and light arts. The final battle to be fought between me and Garth approaches...
It is now fall 3 years after my banishment from the heavens and now is time to strike, the great war will be waged in one week and my training is now critical. I dodge arrows as practice while flying, I block swords with my star, I knock boulders over and curse large areas of enemy training dolls... I am now ready. Confusion fills my spirit and clouds my soul, I must pick a path and determine the prophecy or I will never defeat Garth. As Yart prepares Cronus for war the city of Ironwall prepares to attack, They march out at the crack of dawn the dew of the grass sprinkling their armor as they walk threw the grass towards Cronus. I circle above them attempting to clear my soul without success. As we move into the country of Yart I noticed the land was now a waist land... worse then when I ruled it... Cronus became a giant siege, stone walls hundreds of feat tall, the army was outside the gate, now I walk in front of my allies and yell out:
- Now is the time to end Yart's rampage whether it takes every last man here we shall free our country.
I lifted my star up and it shined brighter then ever before, and on it was the fight between me and Garth so many years ago. And in the head of the enemies was a large black horse holding an oversized human, much taller then last time we saw each other, his shoulders where twice as broad as a normal man's and his arms three times as thick. Covered in black armor where darkness itself leaks from it, the power consumed Garth as it did me and I see that now, I see that I now have a choice, and I shall fight for light and I was going to prevail. The horns blew out and the armies ran at each other, as the walls of men collided the crashing sound of metal could be heard.
I ran threw the crowd swiftly killing enemies making my way to Garth. He dismounted his horse and now was armed with a large blade that must weigh as much as a mere man. I ran and jumped flying at the surface of the ground and leaped onto his chest kicking him back. At this moment Garth realized who I was and was struck with both fear anger and surprise. He remounted and ran to the gates and slipped in. Dodging the arrows of the enemies I followed. I flew over the wall following Garth. He ran to the waterfalls. A glimpse of this scene in my memories suddenly hit me... it was where I was defeated by my own guilt. But Garth could not be destroyed by his guilt... has to far in. I land and run to him, he got off his horse who ran away. His blade in hand he chuckled:
-Shrekhan should have known you would be back somehow, you always where a fiendish snake.
I did not listen and I took out my star. I ran at Garth and went for his throat, but he simply pushed my away like a fly.
- You can not kill me I am far to powerful now.
Again I do not listen, I summon the wind to blow on the small bridge we are fighting on. Garth stood there the wind not budging him. And then that's when I realized, me and Garth must both die or it will be a battle for eternity of being reborn one after another... I summoned the power of the earth itself and shook the bridge, bricks dropped from it, Garth yelled:
- You crazy snake!
He lunged at me and grabbed me by my shoulders. The bridge fell out beneath us and I let go of the star. wrestling all the way down me and Garth where destroyed... for good and the legacy of the paladin lives on... for the star which lies in the bottom of the river, glowing, will be found and therefore paladins, from this day on, where tied to this realm. |
