It was a beautiful, sunny day. Golden rays exploded out of a sea of blue sky as it hung high above the horizon. Leaves shook fiercely as tree branches, tall grass and colorful wild flowers swayed happily back and forth with the wind as it blew mightily across the terrain.
Feurii`s purple hair whipped about her face as her outlandishly huge, jade colored sword cut through the air with a whistle before it landed under the neck of a demon. Blood spurted straight up like a geyser out of it`s neck where there was once a head. Instantly decapitated the head rolled over to her feet. No time for quipping and clever remarks. More demons stood before her in mass. They surrounded her just a moment ago but Feurii`s quick thinking positioned her in the front of the mob after a few well placed strokes of her sword.
Feurii was like poetry in motion. Her martial arts training had proved worthwhile. She was deadly grace in the heat of battle. In just a few more minutes the entire mob will be sprawled out on the field and another battle won with Feurii as the victor. Other battles recently passed had lasted for hours. She kept on going, beating down each enemy until only 1 was left standing. The one who had long legs and purple hair: Beautiful Feurii.
Feurii had changed since her arrival to Atlantis. When she first appeared in this dark, forsaken land Feurri had frizzy red hair, torn clothes, hard, sooty hands and an inner gnawing that she was not worthy. She walked with her head down and never looked anyone in the eye.
Fortuntely, she had acquired a mentor who taught her the customs of the land and how to hunt demons. She also learned how to earn money as well. Soon Feurii was hunting demons and picking up whatever the demons had dropped. She quickly sold most items, keeping only the most desired and rare items for herself.
She also picked up Eudemons` Eggs. She was always hoping to find those few most rare and special Eudemons for herself. Until then she would sell or adopt out the many Eudemons she had found that turned out to be anything but what she was looking for. She didn`t even know herself exactly what she was looking for but she had the idea that she would know when she had found it/them. In order to be THE BEST WARRIOR she NEEDED to find the perfect Eudemons that were uniquely special to her. Great armor and weapons were important and necessary to become "potent" but Eudemons were different. They would be the difference between life and death. They would also become a part of her, emotionally and physically. She would allow herself to be possessed by the Eudemon while fighting battles because they were so strong and multiplied her own power many times over. Without the possession she would not survive the many demons she dared to take on.
Now that she had lived in Atlantis for some time and had learned many valuable tools through her mentor she began to take on a glow. She decided she needed to "feel" more like a warrior by "looking" more like a warrior. So Feurii bought the newest armor and weapons when it was time to upgrade. She would have bought the best quality but she could not always find them and she was unable to make the best quality items because she didn`t always have the luck needed when she tried. Many things were involved in the process of making a quality item.
Feurii decided to cut her hair and the beautician talked her into dying her hair purple as well. She said, "You will look more fierce and with the special magic I put into my dyes you will have to beat the men away." Feurii replied, "I don`t want men. I only want to fight demons. If it makes me look more fierce than you may dye my hair purple."
Then one day she decided to try her luck at the lottery and to her delight she won clothing of the highest quality. She intended to sell the beautiful clothing for much gold or EPs but decided to try them on first. She NEVER owned anything so beautiful in all her life. She carefully put on the clothing so that the silky soft fabric would not rip. Once she saw how magnificent she looked and felt she was unable to part with her prize. Many times people had offered her much gold or EPs for the clothing. She could not believe it when she refused an extremely handsome offer.
Feurii was becoming a real beauty. She was enchanting inside and out. She was a warrior and a woman.
But she often forgot that latter, so focused on training day and night was she.
One day Feurii wanted to show her appreciation to the gods/goddesses for all that had happened to her since coming to Atlantis. She went to the mall and found a box for deity donations. She was surprised to find one here at first because this was a place for merchants, not for the gods. But Feurii decided that this was the way to acknowledge them and show her gratitude. To her amazement she had been blessed. It only cost her 828 EPs but she was blessed!
As soon as she received her blessing she was granted a boon of a new kind. Her training was paying off faster. In fact she could train while she slept. She dreamed she was training and in the morning she could actually feel a difference. She was getting discounts on her purchases and the merchants were willing to pay her more for her items. Feurri was still getting attacked by murderers but much less now. But her biggest boon was all the attention the men started paying to her. Did the purple hair dye really work?
Soon to Feurii`s surprise and delight she received flowers from a few gentlemen. She was so shy because she did not know how to talk to a man. She quickly thanked them and ran away. The next thing that happened to Feurii almost caused her to faint. She had received a couple of proposals of marriage. This was all happening too fast for Feurii and she did not trust it. By nature Feurii watched everything closely to the point of scrutiny. Feurii did not want to marry. Feurii wanted to fight demons. That was what she loved besides her Eudemons. Feurii is content living this way. But Feurii has only been in Atlantis for a very short time. Since her arrival in Atlantis Feurii had developed some casual relationships. She enjoyed talking to her newfound friends immensely. She would chat on and on until time flew on the wings of the wind and felt guilty for training so little then. But she enjoyed the company more than she wanted to admit.
Perhaps one day Feurii will marry. But until then her dream is to become the most powerful warrior in Atlantis. One day bards will sing the name of Feurii for her great courage and her willingness to heed the call to help a people in their time of need and in doing so Feurii helped herself more than she could ever know.
